Abstract Text:
Electromagnetic effects on Geodesic Acoustic Mode are considered within the two-fluid (cold ions, warm electrons ) model. It is shown that in addition to the widely assumed m=2 component of the magnetic perturbation, there is also m=1 component. It is shown that the m=1 magnetic component is related to the m=0 density perturbation. The m=1 magnetic component is a dispersive effect and is generally smaller than m=2 by the k_{r} rho_{s}<1 factor.
It is expected therefore that in the short wavelength regime the m=1 can be of comparable amplitude to that of m=2.
